Indian Air Force : Recruitment of Airmen in Group ‘X’

Indian Air Force invites applications from unmarried male candidates for selection tests in February 2011 to Join as an Airman in Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades for the posts of Officers/Pilots/Navigators.
Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades
Qualification: Candidate should have passed Intermediate/10+2 with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks (OR) Should have passed a 3 year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) with at least 50% marks from a Govt. recognised Polytechnic Institute
Age: Born between 01 APRIL 1990 to 31 MAY 1994.
Pay Scale: During training, a stipend of Rs. 5,700/-pm. After completion of training Rs. 15,062/-pm (approximately)
Medical Standards:
Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Vision: Minimum Visual Standard: Unaided 6/36 and correctable to at least 6/9 for each eye with spectacles, Dioptectric power not exceeding + 3.5 including astigmatism. Full field of vision and Defective safe colour vision CP-II/III. Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
Health: Candidates should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidates must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
