Staff Selection Commission (SSC)-Recruitment of Constable in Central Police Organizations(CPO) 2011

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct examination for the Recruitment of 49,070 Constable (General Duty) in Central Police Organizations (BSF, CISF, CRPF and SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles) under Ministry of Home Affairs.

This is the first time Central Government has decided to conduct Common Recruitment Examination for recruitment of Constable (GD) in CPO through Staff Selection Commission. Earlier, the respective CPOs used to make recruitment of Constables (GD) by their own.





Constable (General Duty): 49070 posts

Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2000/-

Age Limit: 18-23 years



Tentative Dates:

Date of written test for BSF,CISF,CRPF,SSB: 05th June 2011

ITBP and Assam Rifles: 1st May 2011



Selection Mode: Selection process will be conducted as PST (Physical Standard Test), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Examination Test/medical Examination and will be getting short listed on the basis of written Examination.
